Christy is currently a student at UC Davis pursuing a bachelor's degree in Community and Regional Development. They currently volunteer with the Food Recovery Network at UC Davis and the Davis Night Market to recover and distribute abundant food to people in the community. She is passionate about sustainability and interested in changing systems to keep resources in circulation and changing food systems for all communities to access healthy and sustainable food. Christy is super excited that this project exists because it connects a lot of things for her: she loves Asian American studies and land stewardship, and she is concerned about issues that farmers face in America. Their immigrant parents were also farmers.
